Dodge
Dodge isn’t my favorite car. I’ll say that I am very biased outright. To me they look a lot like any other. The only identification is the four quadrant grille. I think that they have even stretched this symbol top far. They put it on the Viper. They took a great car and put an ugly grille on it because they wanted to have their gigantic trade-mark on it. It looks all right on some of the larger Dodges but on the little Honda like cars it looks a little too big. Besides their huge grilles they pretty much fade into the background. When you look at a Dodge you don’t have the same reaction as when you see a Mustang. When you see a Mustang it clicks pretty fast that the car you are looking at is a Mustang. Mustangs make you want to buy one just looking at them. On the other hand, when you see a Dodge you kind of just look away. They don’t catch your eye.

I like the Charger more than most other Dodges,
but does it really need to stick to the crossbar design?

I drover a new Charger this week. It was a standard business rental – which should immediately tell you that Dodge is building a lot of these. Feels like a midsize sedan, looks like an oversized muscle car – mimicking the vintage look of the more recent mustangs. My bottom line: this is a “me too”, a knock off, competitor that’s based on looks and price – but its just another sedan underneath. Want a muscle car ? Keep looking.
Maybe its just me, but these things are tough. Its a head turner for me. I can definitely see a plastic interior and the viewpoint of overpricing, but this cars got balls. I think that the r/t beeing beaten by a pontiac in the recent motor trend article with the r/t and g8 comparison is rediculous, i don’t like the g8 looks.
